Privacy notice

This notice covers only the information we collect through the forms on this site. It does not cover the NovaGuardian app, which is not yet available and will have its own separate and more detailed notice.

Who handles your information

NovaGuardian, Milan, Italy. The project is currently run directly by its founders and the company is in the process of being incorporated; we will update this page with full company details as soon as it exists. For anything at all: hello@novaguardian.io.

What we collect

• Family form: name, email, country, city.
• Schools and organisations form: full name, email, the name of your school or organisation, country, city, and any topics you select.
• Contact form: name, email, country, city, the message you write, and any role you select.
• In every case we also record the site language and, if you arrived through a tagged link (for example ?src=parent-talk), that tag — which only tells us which channel a sign-up came from.

We do not ask for and do not collect any information about children. Please don't put any in the message field.

Why, and on what legal basis

We use it for one purpose: to contact you again — to invite you when the product is available, to arrange a conversation, or to reply to your message. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box before you submit.

We do no profiling, make no automated decisions, add you to no newsletter, and will never use your details for advertising.

Who else sees it

• Netlify — hosts this site and receives the forms. When you submit one, the details are kept in our Netlify dashboard and forwarded by email to hello@novaguardian.io. Netlify is a US company, so this involves a transfer outside the European Union, made under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
• Zoho Mail — our email provider, with servers in the European Union, where the message containing your details is delivered and stored.

Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes, ever.

How long we keep it

For as long as it is useful for the purpose you gave it to us for, and in any case no longer than 24 months from when you submitted the form. If you ask us to delete it, we do so sooner — normally within a few days.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no social buttons. The fonts are served from our own servers rather than a third party's: visiting this site sends no request to Google or any other outside provider.

The only local storage is the source tag described above, kept in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close the tab. It contains no identifier and does not follow you to other sites.

Your rights

You have the right to access your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, receive it in a readable format, object to processing, and withdraw your consent at any time — without giving a reason, and without affecting anything done before that point.

If you believe we are handling your information improperly, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority in your own country.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant and affects you, we will write and tell you.
